About 300 yards in a timber clearcut.
Rem 270 Mt.Rifle slinging 130g TSX. Quartering away, went in behind the Rt. Rib line, out left front shoulder

That was me last year.

This year, not so much...

The boy and I paid our dues Saturday, to the gods of the bad shot angle.

Couldn't get anything to turn broadside enough to dare take a shot.

Ain't much worried about it though, lots of season left.....
