@davsco, you might be surprised at the number of towns and cities that have flag ordinances. Most of the time it has to do with limiting the “misuse” of flags and banners to advertise businesses and to attract potential customers. I know that locally here, ordinances limit the flying of flags to one U.S. flag, one state flag and one city flag. The ordinances also limit the size of the flags and how tall the flag poles can be.

So it’s very real. Check out your local ordinances and see. You may be surprised at what you find.

It has been a few months since I passed by on I 40 east. It is very common to see a vehicle pulled over or driving on the shoulder at ten MPH taking pictures. It is an impressive flag but the idiots that try to take pictures or videos and then try to merge back into traffic going eighty MPH is not safe. There are some laws that make sense even if they arre not patriotic.

If you point a gun at someone without justification there are consequencies. The highway patrol will also give you a ticket for reckless endangerment even for taking pictures of an american flag.

There's a garrison flag flying over camping world on I-84 in my Idaho. It's the only one I've seen since my service time .
