yes you can,
the leupold is a good scope, I have had many of them. If you are not stuck on it, you can get better to use for longer range.
If you are stuck at the 1k price point there are many options. If it were me , I would honestly be looking at a newer bushnell elite( new or used) A weaver real tactical( don't laugh I have a 3.5x15x50 and it has been used quite often more than my leupold mk4 let ) these come in 3.5x15 and 4x20 both ftp and 5o mm obj, decent turrets and can be had for 800 or less, and the reticles match the turrets mil/mil
I guess for me, although I dealt with 10 x for a long time, I feel more is better especially for over 600yds, I would be looking at 14-20 power on top end.
If leupold is where you need to be for whatever( maybe mil discount?) I would drop the money on a 4.5x14x40 long range target, send it to leupold for the new reticle conversion( very good reviews so far)(moa turrets moa reticle) and upgrade to m1/m2/m3 or what ever turrets you need, add the alumina caps and still be under 1k
good luck
