Anyone ever sponge paint a rifle using cerakote either c or h series. I called NIC and they told me they had never tried it. Thinking about a coyote base and maybe desert sponge patches. Thanks for any info.

I've used the sponge technique with Krylon, Alumahyde II and DuraCote...start off with a lighter base coat, OD or Coyote and trend towards the darker colors...its simple buy a sea sponge, tear off irregular shapes and then spray a puddle of paint onto a paper plate and dab and create an awesome paint job...
