First, I'd like to send a shot out to Chris S. @ sport optics, as he was a great guy to deal with. He asked if I was going to get any trigger time this weekend and I responded with "its a good possibility". He then said "you'll need it by Saturday then, I'll ship it 2 day by Air at no charge" and soon after the phone call I had an email with my tracking number. That's pretty sweet CS!

As for the glass, believe it or not but I prefer the M2D reticle (mil/mil of course) and luckily for me, that's what they had on hand. Once I get an honest amount of time behind it, I'd like to offer my feedback comparing it to my S&B 5-25 h2cmr (which I consider the gold standard). My only concern with the beast is the small training curve of the .1 throw lever.... I hope the adjustment are more like my past kahles glass b/c my S&B is a little to "tactical" for my likings (that's purely subjective). I have a good feeling that NF will live up to the hype!

Looking forward to a good review from someone who owns an S&B. I will be looking for a scope to put on a .50 bmg in the near future and I really like my S&B with MSR and may just get a second one unless the Beast is somehow mind blowing.

Got my NF today, and I must say I'm impressed. Nicely packaged, tenerbex branded NF caps, sun shade, and tons of verbage.

I only got a few minutes to check it out, BUT, the adjustments felt great, glass is superb and it feels incredibly robust. Can't wait to get to the range and compare it against my S&B... The fact that it's made here in the states is winning me over. I feel that its a solid purchase, and to all that are currently waiting for your order, you won't be disappointed.

Thanks for the update, you know I'm waiting but it sounds like it will be worth it.

The one thing that I'm not to fond of is the NF eyepiece being part of the magnification ring when used in conjunction with the supplied caps. Reason why? because the cap rotates with the eyepiece when the range is changed, therefore the shooter needs to move the cap back out of the way from the bolt or view of the turret (ideal location for the flip cap is to the 9 o'clock). This is not an issue if the user decides to use the supplied bikini caps.

Another subjective point, I don't like how I can't see the power ring markings without bringing my eyesight almost on top of the scope, as the lock ring obscures the said markings.
