I've been pretty happy with my Bushnell 15-45x60 Excursion FLP Spotting Scope. Inexpensive and gets the job done.

...yes...and i milled a chunk of steel at 865yd with this one.....the edges got aberation but the bussiness part of the mildots are spot on.

I'll vote for the bushnell excursion yet again. I love mine. Having the mildot reticle is a huge bonus as well.

Kowa, they are fantastic, great value, and used by many. You can get their 601 or 602 for the price you stated. Your choice of eyepiece. I favor fixed wide-angle eye-pieces for their clarity and field of view.
