Completely torn……Does anyone know how a 30PS sounds on a 18” SPR 223 rifle? I would like to have one can for my .30 cal bolt gun as well as my SPR rifle but if there is going to be a noticeable difference in sound and performance by going with the 223P-2 then I will. I am just trying to avoid buying two cans if I don’t have to, but will if the 223P-2 is truly the best option on my SPR rifle. If I can go with the 30PS I will have my barrel threaded for 5/8-24 (it’s not threaded now). Just wondering if anyone (Zak) has run this setup and how it compares. Thanks for everyone’s knowledge.

Wow, that would be great if you could. It would be interesting given the fact they are so close in size and volume. And here i thought the guy that owned the company was going to tell me to just go buy both. :)

Zak, am I correct in assuming that a thread on 30 cal can on a .223 would be louder than a brake attached 30 cal can on a .223? My assumption is that a .223 brake baffles would redirect more gases into the can than a thread on 30 cal can that would allow more gases to travel in a straight line right out the font of the can causing a greater concussion/ sound wave.
