i received a Timney 510 trigger today for a Rem 700. during the switch when i picked up the barreled action to turn it over to access the other side a small spring fell to the floor. i don't know where it came from? i believed this happened after i removed the factory trigger and was installing the Timney, i believe. the Timney trigger looks pretty well enclosed but not 100% it didn't come from there. i don't currently have my bolt to function test as its on its way to Keith at Phoenix Customs to get a new bolt knob. here's a pic below with a dime for size reference. i for some reason believe it fell from the stock 700 X Mark adjustable trigger that came with my SPSV. any help?

Re: Spring found during trigger install....

That definately looks like the X-Mark spring, which will fall out easily. It is located on a nipple under the front of the sear, at around a 45° angle. Once the rear trigger pin is removed from the action, that spring almost always falls out.
