Sprockets

Re: Sprockets

I am making the mount for the sprocket. #35 chain or bigger, its not going to be under a lot of stress. The important dimensions are whats listed. I don't care if its a motorcycle sprocket or go kart sprocket, I just need it to be at least 12 inches outside diameter.

Re: Sprockets

I can't say much about the project. The problem is most manufacturers do not give an outside diameter, only tooth count. With most its application specific and I would be hard pressed to go out and measure the sprockets on every motorcycle I find. this was a shot in the dark, figured maybe someone dealt with them on a daily basis. I have found some companies that can make it, but for a single piece the price a lot more than I care to spend on a sprocket. Grainger does list an outside diameter but the ones that are big enough have a hub as part of the assembly. I am just looking for a sprocket that is hubless. The center hole will be cut out to 9-10 inches in diameter. A motorcycle sprocket would be great. They are light and I will be able to get a smaller sprocket to match the chain.
