The SS in any form is a good option. It has good HD glass but the reticule is mil dot. If you want other options like a finer .5 mil type reticule you could look at the Vortex PST. Another option is to watch the hide sales you might be able to pick up a used Mk4 Leupold. But the SS is a good scope.

The SS seems like a solid scope from my experience. It appears that you have to jump to another price category to get something of equal quality. The PST seems the best competitive option, but they are still relatively new and are variable and not fixed power. Determine your needs and this will better help you decided on the appropriate scope.

For $800 you can get better than a 10x scope for sure. Sightron SIII maybe?

I have 2 of the 3x9 ss and think they are just a nice if not better for less. Mil/Mil
