There is a reason why there are 1000's of TRG's about and very few SSG04's about.......any Steyr that I have shot, an SSG69 and an Elite have been OK and just OK, not in TRG league though.

Sorry,..have to call bullshit on that statement. There are vast numbers of SSG's out there in civilian and professional end user hands. Also plenty of 04's and even a few 04A1'S. Even the 08 is seen around the ranges fairly frequently. All shoot just as well as any TRG with good ammo and competant shooter.
From everything I have experienced through ownership, the TRG series takes a back seat to no one as far as mass manufactured rifles go.
My 300WM and 338LM both delivered excellent accuracy in a well executed design.

And I call bullshit on that statement too. Where I live for every Steyr I have seen on range I have seen many more TRG's. As for using them, can you really compare the Steyr trigger to a TRG unit, no comparison IMO and many others hence the popularity of the Sako. Accuracy wise, the Sako is in a different league, search this site for instance to see just what owners think of TRG accuracy.
As i mentioned I have only shot 2 x Steyrs, in fact I learned to shoot on a .308 SSG69 and while it was a fine rifle it was not a great rifle. For great spell TRG.
