It's been a tough month for the St. Petersburg Police department.

Is it standard procedure to try to arrest an armed and barricaded subject in an attic, "who had an extensive criminal history including numerous crimes of violence"? They had the place surrounded, why not wait an hour for SWAT to arrive an smoke him out with tear gas? I've seen this take place on programs before, were the LEO sticks his head in an attic, that's a risk not worth taking. <span style="font-weight: bold">WHY</span> was Hydra Lacy Jr.NOT in prison? Sad story, hopefully some lesson or training will come of it. God bless the fallen officers and their loved ones!
