Rifle Scopes Steel bases

So I just ordered a nightforce steel base and wanted to get the ultralight rings as well but is it bad to use a steel base with aluminum rings?

Yes, extremely bad, galvanic corrosion will start and the scope rings will rot off in 2 years. You will start to see major discoloration on the base and your torque values for your rings will never be right. The steel is just too strong for the aluminum.
