Re: Steering Column Mounted Holster . Anyone Have 'Em
If you are constantly getting in and out, or just going for a short trip, unholster when you get in the vehicle and stick it between the seat and the center console, don't even need a holster there in most vehicle makes.
If not doable, place underneath the thigh opposite your strong hand, with thumb side of grip down. You can adjust it more towards your knee or butt as needed. You'd be surprised how comfortable this can be, from j-frames to full sizes.
Course, that's if you're really paranoid about someone coming up to your window at a traffic light or something. If you're on any kind of extended trip, who's going to come up to your window when you're going down the road at 55-65 mph? Hell, put it anywhere, on the passenger seat even, doesn't matter.
I just imagine bumping my knees into that thing. Granted, everyone is different, you might like it. I'm the type of person who wants ease of use and comfort out of all equipment, so if something makes my life easier, I'd use it. That being said, I don't think I'd ever buy something like that, just don't have a need for it.
