Rifle Scopes Steiner P4Xi 4-16x56 - SCR Riflescope

I also have a p4xi, and my impressions are favorable of it. The image quality of the scope is very good, and as others have said it performs much better than other scopes sub $1000. As Koshkin (Ilya) has said, the scope is a raging bargain for the current price from Doug.

One note about the scope if you are concerned with the magnification range, is that scope with lower magnification with a higher level of image quality is much better than a high magnification with lower quality image. Having said this, I would take the Steiner over the 5-20 razor. The p4xi image quality is a step above the 5-20 razor, and closer to the 4.5-27 gen 2 razor.

Wow, that’s some strong feedback.

Very interesting. I am at a buy position right now, wondering who else has an opinion.
I too was in a debate between a Razor and the P4xi except the Razor was a gen2. The issue was it would have cost me about $500 more and I just didn't have it on me. I would put the P4xi above a gen1 though absolutely. The only issue I would have with it is that the reticle is fine enough to not be very useful at 4x. Basically if you're shooting 150 to 200+ yards you shouldn't have any issue, just bump it up to 6x or leave it illuminated.

I had my new px4 out last weekend to 900 yards very clear. I also have a kahles 6x24x56 and I can tell you I am extremely pleased with this scope at 1/3 the price. Excellent value

I'm curious to know what setups everyone has their P4xi mounted on? Mine is on a .308 POF Edge. I'm tempted to pick up another if I can get the funds and put it on a future 6.5cm bolt/chassis build. Not sure yet.

Just bought the P4XI from CL. Question about your POF. I have a P6.5 and added an 18" P-308 upper. What kind of accuracy are you getting from yours? What ammo are you shooting?

Here’s my P4XI. Very happy with the optic. Elevation turret is a tad stiff for my liking. People say they loosen up with time, we will see. Glass is great. Tracking is spot on.

Was out late afternoon yesterday. Found myself hunting all over the stock to get a good site pic. I need to study this in more detail and compare to my low money Leupold.
