Not sure if this is the correct forum for my question but... I have a Steyr SSG 69 PII with dual set triggers; does anyone know if it can be replaced by either a single set trigger or a single standard trigger? If so where would I start looking for parts as the ergonomics of the 2 trigger system doesn't lend itself to my situation.

Buy a cheap old Steyr mod L hunting rifle with single trigger that is worn out by hunting, not shooting.
All parts are interchangeable except possibly the bolt handle with locking lugs that is fitted in each rifle.

The two stage from other ssgs should fit right up. Finding one may be tough. I don't know where to begin looking these days.

Did you try contacting Steyr? Their US customer service has been very helpful the last couple of times I have had to call them.

I find nothing wrong with the double set trigger setup on my PII. That being said, it did take a while to learn the trigger and use it properly. When set, the primary trigger pull is a matter of ounces. It can be unnerving at first and requires lots of practice to become proficient with it. Best of luck finding one. The set trigger SSG's are not as plentiful as the single trigger rifles. From what I understand some of the P1 set trigger SSG's were subject to a factory recall for some issue with the trigger assembly.

I think you can swap them out rather easily, as the rifle was available either way (with same trigger guard). Ironically, I actually want an SSG-69 with the double-set triggers, as I don't have a rifle with that set-up. I have collected some SSG-69 parts over the past year (attached pics) but I haven't yet purchased the rifle. If I had a rifle with single trigger I would offer to trade you, but perhaps you can find another SSG-69 owner who will trade. (If you end up selling your double set triggers, please keep me in mind). Good luck whatever you decide to do.

If you want a CNC aluminium magazine housing to replace the plastic one that normally breaks on the rifle let me know! I’ll be having a batch made for the double trigger in the not too distant future.

The two-stage SSG triggers sometimes are for sale @ egun.de
Don't know if you can import them easy to the USA

I also would like to purchase one or more. Single and Double trigger versions, if possible. I have found bigger issues with the plastic locking tabs on the magazines that break.
