Stiller Predator or TAC300

I am looking to build a new lighter weight hunting rig and trying to decide on which action to go with. I wanted a Surgeon but lead time is way to long. My smith has recommended the Stiller predator but I keep seeing the TAC300 coming up here. I will be going with a Bartlein #3, Timney trigger, 700 spring btm metal, Mcmillan Sporter w/edge. This will be a 300 win mag while keeping the weight around 8 lbs scoped with a Z6.
any reason not to go with the Predator?

I think the predator is short action cartridges

I have a TAC300 and it is the only way I would ever go on a Rem700 style rife, I sold all of my Remington 700's and only use stiller now

The predator action is cut for a Wyatt's extended box magazine where the tac300 is not.

I went with a Predator for a 30-06 build so I could use the longer Wyatts box magazine.

For hunting...I also went with the predator...Mickey edge stock and # 3 barrel ....it's one of my favorites

Thanks guys, Just wanted to make sure I wasnt missing anything. I'll just stick which what my Smith recommends. Bug-holes has them available so ill just order the Predator

That's what I did, predator action for my 300 win mag. ordered from Greg at bugholes...really easy and quick to deal with. one of my favorite rifles to shoot.
