These days there are a plethora of stock configurations intended for the precision type rifle.
From your basic, no frills stock to your high end multi-adjustable space gun stocks.
I must admit, I like ths classic, clean looks of a standard stock configuration as found on the orginal M40 in the oil rubbed walnut stock, but I also embrace the improvements of polymer, fiberglass and other man made materials in stock construction.
I have a rifle with the B&C varmint/tactical stock, a rifle with an HS Precision Pro-Sporter stock and I have lusted after some of the space age looking modualr stocks.
When I and if I ever get around to my next build, I am really thinking along the line of the MCM HTG or B&C BCS1000 stock though, for simplicity and aesthetics.
For those of you that have stocks at both ends of the spectrum, do you ever find yourself prefering the simpler, clean lines of the standard stock configuration?
