I am building a new rifle and need some help finding a stock. I have a Savage Long Action in 300Winmag and just ordered a barrell from W. Lothar. I called Mcmilian and ordered a stock but it is going to be at least 6 months before they can get it to me. I need a stock in the meantime that doesnt completely suck. Does anybody have any suggestions?

Manners stocks are great, and I recommend them. If you need one now, surf the for sale sections and see what's available. A Savage LA might be hard to find quickly. Also, check out some of the laminted options, like Boyd's and a few others.

I have a stockade painted up with auto body paint and sprayed camo by a body guy that looks good. I will sell it now if you want it. I also could be talked out of my Mac Swirly if you talk right.
