Hey Guys

I just got a disheartening call from a good buddy. Someone came into his house (no signs of forced entry), and stole some (some not all, wierd...) of his guns. Please keep your eyes open for the following:

DPMS 308 AP4, Aimpoint Red-Dot and Magnifier on LaRue QD Mounts with a Blk MIAD Grip, and 308 PMAGs

Glock 23 with a Blackwater rear slide plate (Glock looks like it has been to hell and back, lots of slide wear).

Small revolver. He did not specify make or caliber. I am assuming a 38 snb by his discription (in his wife's underwear drawer).

All I ask is if anyone sees anything on any forum to please shoot me a PM or email. I hate to see a good buddy tore up like this.

Whoever did this has balls because my buddy is a former Blackwater guy, and a current range officer. He always shoots first and asks later. Someone must have known him and his schedule.

Re: Stolen Guns In SWFL

I have had stuff stolen, but I was part of the lucky few to get my guns back.

I hope I see this dude try to pawn off one of my boys guns....

I don't think this thief knows how small the FL gun trading arena is. We will catch this fool.

HiTech im from pine island and all the way from you to tampa its gettin horrible. had my house broke into in the middle of the day, removed the door from the hinges walked by my guns to take cash,(obviously they knew me) hate to hear about the luck, sounds like they knew your buddy too. one day it will come to light, dont rely on the police, they use those finger print slides for paintball wars back at the station. good luck on the search, i have some "hot" gun loving buddies ill keep an eye out.

Dam..... I hate to see this!!! It's been my past experience that 90% of the time its somebody he calls friend!!!

Your above statments almost scream it this time......have him make a list of friends,buddies,family...the list is going to be real short of who he has shown the guns too and who knew the layout of the house......

....also if he has younger or teenage boy who might have shown them off to his buddies......it dosen't sound random...they knew what they were after...the have seen them before!!!!

...good luck on recovery I hope he gets them back!!!!!

Re: Stolen Guns In SWFL

Sign of the times and low life's trying to make a quick few bucks! I am sorry for your friends loss AZ is one of those places where you shoot first drag his butt back into the house and if he breaths long enough you ask him questions. Good luck and if your friend finds them take them for a nice boat ride... and let them know that no one will hear them scream....

Re: Stolen Guns In SWFL

Listen to all above advice, and catch this scumbag one way or another. Definitely sounds like someone familar with the home layout and they knew what they were going for. Probabilities say it was one of the sons friends, I'd check them out first.

Man, you have pre-dug holes in Cen. Mich., we need to talk for sure....

..LOL!

So sorry to hear about this. I hate to think about this and it sucks to have things go "missing". You can bet, we will all keep a look out for you and your buddy on this!

Re: Stolen Guns In SWFL

Im thinking of investing in a hiden fireproof floor safe just for this very reason. I know it's gonna cost me alot cause they'll have to come in and do foundation work and cut out concrete but a hidden floor safe may be worth it if I get to keep all my guns. I can't stand a thief

Re: Stolen Guns In SWFL

He does have a safe, but he had the 308 out because he wanted to remind himself to clean it.

He also had his Glock in arms reach from his bed at night. I guess he just forgot to put it up before he left for work.

He learned a hard lesson.

Re: Stolen Guns In SWFL

Getting a gun stolen is something that will make you really sick. My father had a $3k custom 6-shooter stolen out of his truck. He only had it for a month or so after sending it off and waiting for around 2 years. Funny thing is, is he had 3 different calibers of handgun ammo in his truck as well and they took the correct caliber. Luck of the draw? I think not.

Hope your friend gets his guns back. Didn't mean to hijack.
