So I’ve carried a streamlight strion for about 10 years. Beat on the light and it’s worked without fail. Holds a charge great and is very reliable... now for the bad.
I recently got a nightstick LGL 160, and it absolutely blew the strion away, I’m talking different leagues bad. I was embarrassed for the streamlight.
After 10 years it’s time to upgrade. I want something the same size roughly (6” or so”). I carry it on my belt so I have room if it’s a little bigger. 100 yards max, and tons of spill. I’d like it to be able to fully light up the front of a house from 20 yards, light up an open garage etc.
Durable, rechargeable, and holding the charge are also top priorities. 250$ limit.
I also carry a bigger second light in my bag where size isn’t a factor. This light I want it to light up a football field with ease. Looking to upgrade and old mag light. I’ve seen the streamlight pro tac hl 5x, and am considering that but open to suggestions.
