Three observations. (1) surprising how many punches miss even when not blocked or dodged (2) Most all of them know to retract the punch with the same speed they throw it. (3) Not as many grapplers in the scrum as I would have expected.

They may be fighting, but they ain't got their heart in it, as folks who study combat as careers like Rex Applegate and Marc McYoung would say.

A lot of participants in so called "street brawls" are just there to throw some wild punches, connecting or not connecting with anyone, just so they can brag to their buddies that they did this badass shit or other and "fucked somebody up" and got the proof on video too. That kind of bullshit. Or trying to impress a girl.

Every gangsta is trying to get street cred these days. A lot of em' do it the cheap and safe way...Look like you are fighting, post it on Facebook and make sure your homies are all talking about it. Some more dedicated bangers will do more dedicated things. Those usually end up on the wrong end of a drive-by shooting, or in the penal system for a very long time.

Fighting is hard and doing it well takes lots of work, but holding a fucking phone still is impossible I guess.
