Hey guys,

I'll make this quick. For things like the SAP 2 round holder, or the Sidewinder dope card holder, it requires the use of an adhesive piece that attaches to your rifle...

Will that come off if I decide to sell the rifle/stock in the future, and if so, will it screw up a cerakote finish if it was on there for a long time?

Sorry for the dumb question.

If it is on the Cerecote, after you pull it off if there is some adhesive stuck to the rifle just use a little rubbing alcohol to take it off and you should be fine. The reason we pay the big bucks for Cerecote is because it is the good stuff!

http://www.cerakotehightemp.com/news/article/chemical-resistance-of-cerakote-ceramic-coatings/

The ability of Cerakote™ High Temperature coatings to resist chemical breakdown was tested by dipping coated panels into a series of solvents and allowed to sit for 24 hours. Afterward, the samples were removed, analyzed and assigned a rank depending on the resistance to each specific chemical. The results of this test are shown in the accompanying chart. The performance of Cerakote™ C-186, C-7300, and V-171 was classified as excellent for the solvent tests. This indicates that the coating was not affected following a 24-hour immersion in the solvents. W-207 Chromex performed excellent in 9 of the solvents and performed fair to good in the remaining solvents.

if you remove it carefully, it shouldnt harm the finish......a little acetone should remove the adhesive and shouldnt harm the cerakote.
