I see the obverse side of the "Change" coin that has brought us to where we are at present. That change became the Left's central theme after the election of BHO.
I think America, and to lesser degree the West, has become stratified; becoming a concoction where the average citizen (and voter) is estranged from the once leading, and now ruling, segment that controls government for reasons and goals that are both empowered by, and diametrically opposed to, the Constitution.
Change is definitely in the air, but not the kind that got us here. Some, quite many, believe that only some form of revolution/civil uprising can deflect the Nation's course toward manic self destruction. They could be right; but I'd really like to believe otherwise.
In retrospect, the largest, most lasting, and most socially beneficial movement in recent history was the
Reformation.
It did not start with violence.
It started with a simple sheet of paper posted prominently. It was the right message, penned by the most insightful individual of the times. It eventually shook society right down to its foundations, and upset a worldwide benevolent dictatorship once and for all.
In another, more recent time; this implement
was used again. The outcome was this Nation. I think it's time to repeat that.
This is our path.
We have our Luther; he resides in the White House.
What he has wrought is secular, and seems to be working better than what came before. But government has hamstrung itself into a formal dance of impotence. It is no longer true to its roots; and actually, what is needed is not a political answer, but a societal answer; much, maybe very much, like the Reformation.
The political effort must be continued, but must also cease to be the only means of change.
Politics is a blunt instrument, ill suited the to individual initiatives we need to employ in order to right the nation's path. It seeks to mold the individual into an indistinguishable cog in a lockstep feeding the governmental machine. That these individual initiatives are both needed and feared by those who demand the tyranny of their brand of change, and no other, is borne up by the proliferation of rules and regulation that stress the impotence of the individual, and the mandate eliminating any individual means of self defending their homes and persons. Religion and any other distraction is put down; by doctrine now, and more soon to come.
Silence is the cabal's ally. Speak up, speak out; be proud of your opponents, they confirm your commitments. They seek to drown out all others. In opposing them, they double down, become worn and hoarse; becoming hectoring bores. Let them burn brightly in their fanaticism. Let them make themselves a nuisance. Given the chance, they will self destruct. Give them that chance by speaking up and speaking out.
While they are preaching, they aren't doing worse.
Don't wait for someone else to come and save your day; they aren't coming. They'd be here by now if they were. Providence helps those who help themselves.
