What's the ideal grain weight for a 1:12 twist sub load? I ask b/c my budget build SPS cut to 16" will be finished this Monday and I'd like to try some out without any unforeseen issues.

180 is as far as I would push a sub load in a 1:12...150/170 30/30 bullets would be a much better option for you if you reload...

Well, I fired one round out of my GAP. Bart 24" 11.25 twist. Let's just say it key holed very bad at 100. Now I have 39 rounds sitting in safe. Made the oddest sounds as it traveled end over end

Anyone wanna swap?

I had the same experience with my 11.25 bartlein barreled crusader. Even worse is that I purchased $200

Correct. Website states that it works for 1 in 10 or 1 in 11.25

Ive got 20 boxes of 175 SMK from Southwest. I'll swap ya two boxes, Ive got a 1-10 Id like to try them out of.

Lofty, if you don't want all 39 rounds from netranger6, I would be interested in half (19 rounds) to give them a try. Netranger6, I hope Scott at Silenced America took good care of you.

I've used the 175 subs from southwest and was able to get a fairly decent 1moa group at 100yds with 4 shots as this round was a better choice in my rifle 1-11.25 24in. The 190's I used worked a lot better in a 1-10 twist while being able to stabilize at 100yds. Groups on the 190 were also about 1moa. I noticed key holing with the 190 out of 1-11.25 twist barrel so didn't try after 2 shots

Scott is awesome. Love that guy and will use him again. Absolutely. Still have the subs and Zak offered to swap them out as well.
