Hunting & Fishing Successful Opening Week: AK-47 / AR-15 Kills

Spent the week in the woods with the family last week, just now getting around to uploading pictures to share. Had an absolute blast hunting with my pops...we were both trying something new: I was hunting with the new 123 GR Hornady AMAX loads for the AK, and my father was hunting with 62 GR DPX COR-BON Loads in his AR. Both performed well!

Here's my favorite pic...we made the Cudde go off to take a "memory"-pic, lol (no, my fly's not open....just a shadow)

On Monday...I got a Cull 8 with my AK. Shot was maybe 30 meters, he ran about 30 meters downhill while his front legs fumbled around not working so well. He's a good 8, I just don't like his genetics...flat horn growth (we've been watching him for the past few years). I love hunting with the AK...and the AMAX did the trick!

I came back home a day early...and my father got a 75 lb hog at my stand the day I left (figures!). Tore his heart up with a 62 GR DPX COR-BON loads. I'll try to get a picture of the pig, if he took one.

Update with moar pics.

Dad with his beater 8-point that we termed "Samurai" with his tall rack and dagger-like G2s....pics of him on the Cudde and down. Dad was using his Sako 308, shooting "Reduced Recoil" Remington ammo (really helps with comfort since he had shoulder surgery)...let it be known that this ammo hasn't had anything run away...DRT on 3 targets thus far.
