Rifle Scopes suggestions for a new 3gun scope 5-900$

Looking for a new 3gun scope to replace a Millett DMS. Would like to keep it under $1000 with mount. Leupold VX-R Patrol? Any other suggestions?

I like the power range and price of this one but the reticle isnt as useful as the other scopes out there

I like the vortex pst because of the exposed turrets, I've heard the reticals they offer are not real great for close quarters.

anyone know where the vortex pst's are made?

I believe is Japan sourced glass and made in the Philippines.

So to quote a ex-Navy buddy, they are made by LBFMs.

My buddy runs a PST, I don't like the exposed turrets for a 3 gun rifle, you don't have time to turn knobs on the clock and the exposed turrets are a liability. He tapes his solid for matches and hunting.

I run a Burris Tac30, it's a lot of scope for the money.

1-4 Vortex Viper PST is a great optic for 3 gun. Ran one last year and Iron Man and it was great. Vortex also makes a mount for it. Buy both and you will be under $1,000 and HAPPY.

Burris TAC30 has a usable BDC reticle and the illumination is daylight visible. The knobs aren't great, but on a 3 gun rifle you will set them and forget about them anyways. I'm happy with mine.

Vortex scopes get a lot of people talking, no one likes leopold anymore? I like swichview levers, exposed knobs(because i don't like caps to remove or lose) and illumination i can see in the daylight. USA made is a very good plus also.
