Rifle Scopes Sun shade for leupold mk6 3.5-18 44mm

I have one of the new mk6 lupys, LOVE IT! I'd like to get a sun shade for it and yet to find one. Anyone have any ideas? Leupolds catalog doesnt list ome

Does anyone know if the USO sun shade fits? Do sunshads from different manufactures fit other scopes? Is it a universal standard?

In a pinch you can use a piece of cardboard and tape, or an empty ammo box. I have a nxs compact and I've been able to use an empty ammo box as a sunshade, I have to take off the lens cap first though. Just a ghetto suggestion until you can source something permanent out.

I called Leupold yesterday asking about accessories for the Mark 6 line and about the Sunshade in particular. They said that they do have plans on beginning production bu no date as of yet.

Bringing this old dead thread back up to see if the OP ever found a sunshade to fit the mark 6? Leupold has a part # on their website but i can not find one anywhere.

From the Leupold Custom shop “That part number(172522) is the 2.5" shade that is compatible with the 3-18 Mark 6.”
