What are the reviews on the 6x42 swfa SS?
Looking at putting it on a 300 yards and In paper and plate puncher.
hows the clarity and quality?

If 6x is good for you they are a very nice scope for the money. The glass is not that bad, the eye-box is great they track well and have plenty of elv. They focus up real close and the mil quad reticle is very nice.

The field of view is excellent, as well. My hunting buddy uses one on his Ruger American Predator 5.56 coyote hunting rig with an offset red dot, and he's unstoppable with that thing. He's let me use it a few times, and I completely understand the appeal now. I'm tempted to buy one myself, but I already have more optics than rifles. Still, at $300 it's practically impulse buy territory. You won't be disappointed.

I've had both the 6x and 10x and I feel that the 6x was a much nicer scope. They eyebox was faster to pick up and it had great field of view. They only down side was the size of the scope, being as they all use the same body it seems "large" for a 6x.

For any scope in the fixed power market, the SS series has been my go to for many many years. Built like a freakin tank, pretty light, good glass, superb tracking, and a low range for parallax adjustment.

Awesome scopes for the money!!
