Had unfortunate experience of breaking an Atlas Bipod a few weeks ago; the main tension bolt sheared after 8+ years of HARRRDD use and unknowingly adjusting the nut inside, which your not supposed to be tinkering with. Legs had become a bit sloppy and detents mushy/gritty.
Monday: Called Atlas (picked up on first ring), followed their RMA request instructions and mailed out on a Monday morning.
Wednesday: they called me directly first thing in AM to confirm they received it and said their techs would look at it within a week and have it shipped out as quickly as possible. I told them not to worry too much as I'd be out of country for next two weeks.
Thursday: email confirmation of package coming to me for Friday delivery.
Friday: delivered. Less than 4 day turnaround including shipping back to me at no cost.
The kicker: they rebuilt the entire locking assembly with new lock plates, locking detents, new brass bushings, new springs and greased/shined it up to the point that I wondered if they had sent a new bipod. Also send a field catalog, poker chips with their contact info plus a couple stickers. ZERO wobble, zero stop, zero play and feels better than new for a grand total of $8 shipping and 4 days door to door.
"WOW" doesn't begin to describe my reaction to their CS team. If you need a product that is backed up by an incredible team, B&T Industries has earned my trust beyond shadow of doubt. They are an incredible company and stand behind their product and service at levels very rarely seen in any industry.
I use Atlas and a few other systems regularly (along with trying several other cheaper alternatives to Harris which is no longer protected by patent) and you get what you pay for with Atlas, plus great team to stand behind product even after 8 years!
Side note: read the sticker on the left of the picture. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THE KNOCK OFF PRODUCTS AROUND THE WEB (read: AMAZON Atlas knock offs). They hurt good people and great companies by creating demand for Chinese knockoff counterfeits. I've had three cheap Harris imitations all of which failed within 3 sessions or less. Could have bought another Harris or even nearly an Atlas for the same amount. Buy directly from the company when you can to support our industry. It's a small but meaningful addition to support good products and services.
