Suppressors suppressor choices

Good morning gents,

I haven't posted or been on the forum in a bit with everything going on with me. About to take the plunge into owning at least one if not several suppressors. I did a little searching and I know someone mentioned that a TBAC ultra 30 will only be a few decibels difference on a 6.5; Looks like some places are out of stock on tbac.....I was looking at deadair and silencerco from reviews and price point. Any specific reviews of comparison for omega 300 and sandman L or S. Thanks in advance.

I appreciate the help guys. I started looking again and was thinking 1-2. Now I was thinking 2-3 haha. Again I just appreciate thoughts and the reviews.

what guns will you be putting them on/roles?

i went with a Micro30 from rugged as my first suppressor because it is short and light and an S and K sized can in 1 tax stamp.
but its primary role is to be on my defensive/ life and liberty AR...also their warranty is unmatched.

the Dead air nomad and Nomad L are very good versatile options that do quite well dont discount the .2 extra diameter remember that for internal volume the diameter is squared.

Don't disregard TBAC options because they are "out of stock" at many places. TBAC is probably your best option and if you call TBAC, they will find you a dealer with whatever you are looking for. Another thing to note, just because many online stores are showing an item OOS does not mean they don't have it. Many places have them and don't show it.

You also don't tell us what your going to put it on. But I would recommend any of the Ultra series of cans or even the Dominus from TBAC. Which specific can depends specifically on what your intended use is.

Getting ready to send in papers on a Rugged. I have a few friends that shoot them and they review well. I have a liberty and it does it’s job, but seems to hurt accuracy a touch.

Dead Air and TBAC are my go-to options. The Nomad and Nomad-L are very quiet cans. The Nomad-L is the quietest can I have ever heard, honestly. The TBAC Ultra series are very light, quiet, and versatile. I run an Ultra 5 on most things because it's short, light, was the best performing 5" can (sound wise) that I tested at my dealer's range, and takes just enough of the edge off.

Ordering directly through Thunderbeast is a long wait time. I submitted a 50% off cert within the last month or two for a Dominus and was quoted May/June of next year for the form 3 to get it to my dealer before I can submit the form 4 and wait another 6-8 months. It is what it is-- I'm not in a hurry. Very curious to see how the Dominus stacks up next to the Nomad and Nomad-L.

I have not been very impressed with the Sandman line. The mounts carbon up and the Sandman K was the loudest of the 5" cans I've played with. Still sounds like a 'boomy' gunshot on a 16" .308. They are bullet proof, though.

For pure noise reduction, Nomad-L and don't look back.

The TBAC would be used on a 7.62 Remington 700 setup I built and a 6.5 ruger precision rifle I had picked up; for the other can I wanted it and maybe another one to be able to flex between multiple AR setups: 5.56 and 7.62. I'd prefer all of them to be mounted through brake attachment vs direct thread. I've heard and read alot of reviews and preference towards direct thread for accuracy but at this time I would just prefer brake mounted cans.

I also have a 6.5 creedmoor hunting rifle that Id like to use one of them on and honestly figured it would be the TBAC; I appreciate all the information and help guys.

the Nomad L is stupid quiet on a bolt gun and is what i would get for that.

for the Gassers i went with a Rugged Micro30.
only complaint is if you want to pin/weld a 13.9/13.7 they do not have a muzzle device fro that for 5.56

In this case, I would probably pick an Ultra 7 or Dominus over anything else. Maybe the Ultra 5 as well but your sacrificing some sound suppression on it for smaller, lighter, more handy maneuverability. Both the Ultra 7 and Dominus could be easily found, especially if you ask TBAC for help with locating one.
