Gentlemen,
I'm in the process of having a 375 Chey Tac built, it will be a BAT L action and 1.45" diameter Lilja barrel. To keep the weight up I had not intended to have the barrel tapered but I have not been successful in locating a muzzle brake that's 1.45" in diameter. The American Precision Arms XXX Bastard brake is 1.5" in diameter but it tapers down to ??. It would likely be ideal if it can be squared off on the back side to match the barrel. Has anyone used this break on a CT or are there recommendations (other than tapering the barrel) for a brake this big? The gunsmith could always cut a piece off the barrel and do a "Vias style brake" but I would prefer something more aggressive lke the APA brake. All the components except the barrel are sitting at the gunsmith so any suggestions would be appreciated.
