Here's the parts list:
Surgeon 1086 Action. (That was my Platoon number in bootcamp!)
Krieger stick
LongRifles, Inc. Rem Hunter stock
Sunny Hill Hinged floor plate (personal favorite!)
Our small parts
Squishy stuff from Pachmeyer
So it begins!
First is getting the showline edge of the stock blank squared away. My "NASA Calibrated" belt sander makes quick work of this. It can also get you into deep doo doo if your not careful.
A slight low spot back in the receiver inlet portion. If it extended all the way to the edge, we'd fiddle with it. Since all this gets machined out, it's not a problem. Now I've got a qualified edge to set up from.
