Surgeon 591 Bolt - .308 face

I’m looking for anyone who knows where I can get ahold of the .308 bolt face for a surgeon 591 repeater. I have looked on their site and I’m not seeing anything. If anyone could help a guy out - I would appreciate it

Yes, .473 is the same as standard 308 bolt face and that bolt appears to have all the fire control systems in it.

That bolt is for the early actions that didn't have the anti bind rail.

how would I know if that’s what I have? I’m buying the action from someone and it’s a .223 bolt face. It was purchased previous to 2018 at the latest.

I called them personally and I can get the bold brand new from the factory for about 400 - not horrible at all. But I don’t know the actual measurements, and now they are saying that there is an ‘older’ and ‘newer’ style and I’m curious how much difference there is an of they are interchangeable.

You would look at the receiver to see if it has the anti bind rail on it. There will be a groove cut in the right side bolt lug an there will be a rail on the receiver that fits inside the groove.

Ahh! That makes sense; and now that think about it - I think it has that.

You’d think they could tell you that by serial number or a couple of pics.
