Hi gang.
Thinking about what to put a Surgeon 591 action into. Just wondering how much work is entailed in putting one into a AICS?

Take care,Stan

I heard the new ones have the recoil lug area opened up to accept 1/4 lugs, if not a little work may be needed, other than that they drop in.

I just sent my AICS to Surgeon. Stephen had to mill the bolt handle area to accomadate the angle of the straight handle. He also had to mill the trigger area for the Jewell trigger. My recoil lug opening was fine due to it being a newer stock. My older AICS stock has a thinner recoil lug opening. Hope that helps.

Correct on that. My build is bedded some at the back. Very nicely done.
