Surgeon 591 vs Surgeon RSR

Looking for an action for a rifle build. Ive seen the 591 but I also saw the price @ $1300. I like the Surgeon action but the RSR is much more affordable for me @ $800. Am I taking a major step down in accuracy and quality by purchasing the RSR above the 591? Thanks for the help.

some will say yes, some will say no.

Just know that with the RSR you will have to buy the Surgeon Rail as a Rem 700 SA rail will not work.

Are Surgeon actions drop in replacement for Remington actions? Will they fit into an AICS stock without mods?

Well, what are the major differences? If I purchase or just use the Rem 700 action that I have and have it tuned up and blueprinted will I gain any advantage over just purchasing the Surgeon RSR? Or is a tuned up blue printed Rem 700 Action VS a Surgeon RSR a draw?

I just got an RSR for the next build. Like many, I could not justify the additional money for the integral 20MOA rail and lug.

I have five worked over 700 actions and I'm done with that. Spent way too much money on those when for actually less money I can get the RSR with features I desire.

What the RSR gives you over the stock 700 trued is a straight bolt handle, options for bolt knobs, fluted bolt, side bolt release, stainless steel and a pinned rail and lug.

The RSR is really a value when you add up what you would have in taking a factory action and making it just like the RSR.

I forgot about the one piece bolt as well.
