Would like to see your pics of complete surgeon builds and your comments on them as well. What do you like and not like. Thinking of having them build me a scalpel in 6.5 creedmoor or .308 thanks. also any suggestions you might have for me are welcomed

simple, I live about an hour and a half from surgeon so it would make it rather simple to get one from them if they are as good as everyone else. thanks

No worries. It was just a suggestion. My thought was that 1.5 hrs of drive time multiplied by 2 to cover drop off and pickup is no different than having to ship parts to a smith anywhere in the US.

no problem and thanks for the idea. i have given that some thought and have spoken to a few smiths(gradous, beanland, gap). I just wondered if surgeons complete builds were as good as those others. thanks again

Re: Surgeon Rifle Owners

Yes, the quality of Surgeons builds is excellent. I'd darn sure rather drive an hour and half or so, and get to talk to the folks building my rig, rather than trust the USPS or UPS monkeys with my parts...

thanks to all, and if Mr. Gradous recommends them then that's a pretty darned good endorsement.

Re: Surgeon Rifle Owners

DoubleBarrel,

Surgeon has many rifles on the lines at any tactical comp you go to in the U.S. They are reliable, accurate and the workmanship is totally backed up by the people at Surgeon.

I would encourage you to talk to them and look at their finished rifles.

Best of luck with your purchase,
Terry

I figured you had seen them, but you never know. Good luck with your build, they're well worth the wait.

Re: Surgeon Rifle Owners

I have 4 surgeon's with another build in the works and have been extremely satisfied.
The accuracy and attention to detail is superb

When you call, if you talk to Steven, tell him Shannon said hey.

While I love Surgeon rifles and have many.... I think Terry is a hell of a rifle maker. His sentinel stock is flat out badass.

This is one of the first ones to roll out of their shop back in 2006. To this day it is still one of the most accurate rifles I've ever shot or owned....that group is 5 shots@100 meters.

Re: Surgeon Rifle Owners

Robert there have been more than a few with problems, they are man made and they can/do fail, at this point i have faith that the company will correct any issues and that is all a customer should ask/expect.
