Gunsmithing Surgeon RSR action in an HS stock

It seems to me that i read that a surgeon RSR action wont just drop into a HS varmint stock that was made or taken off a rem 700. Is this true and if so what is needed to make it fit properly. I plan to skim bed the block anyway. Whats the scoop? thanks Lee

i believe the bolt stop is in the way all you have to do is clear that out and it should work

yes, you will have to dremel out a notch for the bolt stop.

And, you may have to clearance for the straight bolt handle...
