Swaro Vs Leica Rangefinder

I'm in the market for a new rangefinder. I don't want to spend +$10K on one but at the same time I do plan on shooting at distances up to a mile. I shoot a 300 WM and I can get a mile out of it... But no more than that. If I was shooting a .416 or something I could justify the extra money for a $13K rangefinder.

I read a lot o' of good things on the Swaro and the Leica but a lot of the posts were more than a year old. Now that owners of both have more time behind the glass I would like to see what the owners think.

Have both, like em both. The Swaro will reach further better though.

Have the leica, had the swaro at one time. I agree. Swaro will range further and better.

I also had both, sold the Leica kept the Swaro.

Has anyone used the Zeiss RF 10x56 Rangefinding Binos or the likes from Swaro or Leica?

I also have both the Leica 10x42 LRF and the Swaro monocular LRF, I carry both most of the time. If I can only take one, then it will be the Swaro.

I have the zeiss LRF binocs and it is great if you need both binocs and a LRF.

I have used both the Leica and Swaro. My opinion is that the swaro will range further but the Leica was more precise. At extended range the swaro was more likely to give you a number. The beam spread on the swaro appears to be large. On sloped back stops or broken cover you have to really analyse what the beam is reading. I have sold the Leica and now just run the swaro. I routinely shoot further than the Leica would range. I am looking to upgrade to the vectronix when I can put together the money.

Has anyone also used the Bushnell Fusion 1600 ARC LRF? I heard a lot of good things about them and they are a lot cheaper than the Geovids... But you get what you pay for...

a big +1 for the Swaro!! I have ranged a camper at 1930yd and my F250 consistantly at 1790-1830 range. its a great tool.

To bad there is no built in angle compensation though.
