So I took this out for the first time today on my Remington 700P 300 win mag and it worked great at first for when I was zeroing the rifle. Then, I walked out and placed two targets at 600 yards and one at 1000 yards only to find out that my elevation knob stopped clicking and popped off. Most of my shooting has been done with iron sights and this is my first scoped weapon. Did I ruin the scope? Or is this something I can fix on my own?

Are you sure the 3 set screws did not come loose? Put the knob back on and put blue loc tite (removable) on them to keep them from vibrating loose.

one of the screws on the cap is loose. how to i make sure it's fully tightened back in?? i opened my case after i got home and the screw was hanging out almost all of the way.

Blue Loc-Tite is a good choice. Try to set the dial back on the position it was on when it stopped clicking. But the rifle will need to be re-zeroed.
