We have a SWFA Super Sniper 5-20x50 inbound for review.

What do you want to know about it? What are your concerns?

We are going to run a tracking test just like we did on the Bushnell. We probably won't be skipping it off the concrete.

If you were looking at buying this scope, what info do you need to make an educated choice?

Re: SWFA SS 5-20x50 inbound....

1. Eye box/sight picture 2. Eye Relief at max power 3. Thickness of reticle on 20x, look at 3/4" and 1" dots at 100y, then some other small targets farther away say 600yds. 4.Tracking above 10 mils elevation. 5. Parallax aqjustment, easy to fine tune and eliminate or difficult to get it right
6. Turret design looks great, how do the clicks feel, are they distinguished and audible or just one or the other.
7. Do the "bounce the butt of the rifle test like in the Tac Pro video" instead of dropping it on concrete and see if it holds up

I'd like to know how you feel about the parallax adjustment. I can't decide if its too stiff or if I just need to work on my kung fu grip.

Otherwise, I'm loving mine!

I find that the more I turn it the more useable it becomes.

Tannerite???

I'm curious if they resolved the line indicators indexing correctly on the knobs yet or not? How about the illume, does this example have the bleeding on the reticle issue?

Thanks

+1. I'd like to see this stuff too

Re: SWFA SS 5-20x50 inbound....

Since you have a Vortex Razor and the Bushnell Elite, compare them, and be sure to do a dusk/dawn comparison.Tim and I compared mine to some of his nightforces and was really impressed. I would have thought with all the guys that shoot at redbrush you would have come a conclusion about these and this late in the game, not sure there is really much you can say that has'nt been said in numerous threads about the SWFA. I have three of them and they can't be beat for the money.

Spend your time at RB doing a comparison instead of a review that has already been done by guys here so its not old news.

Re: SWFA SS 5-20x50 inbound....

i'm about to pull the trigger on a razor but there are alot of people who say go this route instead so a comparison between the two would be great, even if it is short. it might change my mind...

Re: SWFA SS 5-20x50 inbound....

Low light comparison with the Bushnell HDMR. How visible is the reticle, how clear the glass. Both these scopes been getting a lot of press on the Hide lately, both cost about the same money. Be good to see an unbiased opinion.

+1

Re: SWFA SS 5-20x50 inbound....

I already have one of these, but do not have an HDMR, so I would +1 the SS/HDMR side by side comparison. Features of each scope are pretty well documented, but a highly expereinced users side by side on things not so easily measured would be valuable.

this....

Re: SWFA SS 5-20x50 inbound....

I bought two of them on the Group Buy and my only regret after the purchase is not buying 3 or 4 of them. In fact, I wish I had gotten 4 of them. They are that good in my book so far. Many scopes give me fits with my corrective lenses in place and not this one.
