Did SWFA kill off their fixed power scopes? They all show as “backordered” and have been for months. SWFA did not respond to my emails about them.
I’d be bummed if they are gone for good.

A well-placed source recently said that SWFA has some new and/or improved scopes in the works. That would help explain the steep discounts they've offered on their current models recently. Let's hope they keep a relatively inexpensive fixed-power scope in the their line-up, hopefully with better reticles and features.
I hope this is accurate info. I’d love an updated 10x from SWFA. Where was this source posting this info?
Isn't SWFA defunct as a company? Or is that just their website?
I hope you’re right Basher. As you stated, updated reticles and turrets on Japanese glass. Their current website is essentially selling out all remaining inventory, and most of that is barska grade or worse. Good deals on magpul t-shirts and belts if you need one. Whole website is marked 50% off
If they made a higher end version of the 2.5-10 in a 30mm tube, with Mil reticle and Mil adjustments, and kept it under $700, I'd buy two so fast that my credit card would catch fire.Makes sense to me, retail is brutal these days. Especially in the gun world where there is so much competition and the customer base is so well informed when it comes to seeking out the lowest prices.
I hope they bring out a big expansion to their ultralight line. Would love to see a 2-8 in a 30mm tube, and a higher end version of the 2.5-10 in a 30mm tube.
The way I understand it is the SWFA is focusing solely on their line of SS scopes now. They will not be selling anything else. No more good deals on other competitors or brands. No more accessories that do not pertain to their business model. Just their own product. If I'm correct, the quality will remain the same or get better and they will be able to do that one thing really well.I just hate the idea of losing durable, high quality Japanese made fixed power scopes that can be had for under $500. The Philippines made scopes are fine but the Japanese just do it better and I refuse to buy anything gun related that’s made in China. I really hope this isn’t the end of the SWFA SS scopes. If so, I hope Primary Arms picks up the fixed power torch and runs with it.
I would like to see them bring back the fixed 6X scope.I think it's unlikely their 3-9 or fixed 6x will be going away ... far too strong a following in the extreme backcountry hunting community.
And one of the few platforms to repeatedly pass drop tests.

I have spent a couple of months with one of the upcoming models. It is coming soon. I'll release details as soon as they are ready to go public with the specifics. From another forum:

So this is all third party info, but it seems to fit with what they’re doing by closing out current inventory. I believe @koshkin has stated elsewhere that he has it on good authority that new optics are in development, but we’ll all just have to wait and see…
SWFA is in bad shape and it doesn't look good at all. That's all I can report.
This doesn't offer much insight however.......https://www.loopnet.com/Listing/5840-E-US-Highway-287-Midlothian-TX/27684778/.Source? I guess Ilya’s comment a few posts above yours is a flat out lie then, huh???
You are correct it does..........They’ve already personally said they are stopping shop style sales and moving to being a scope manufacturer. Now Ilya is saying there is a new scope(s) on the horizon.
That tracks just fine with listing your retail shop

I've been trying to find one of their 3-9 HD scopes for years to put on a lightweight hunting rifle...rare as hens teeth. Wish they could actually keep them in stock.
Years? Just buy 1 or more on their site if out of stock. You'll never wait a year
