Rifle Scopes SWFA SS HD 5-20x50 Videos at Rifle Range

Re: SWFA SS HD 5-20x50 Videos at Rifle Range

Good video. I'm jealous of those that have theirs already. Ordered mine on June 2nd, might be awhile before mine comes in. Thanks for sharing can. Too bad the loud mouth in the background didn't STFU, could barely hear you half the time. Wouldn't be surprised if his groups were much like his talking, really bad.

Thanks for the video and it did answer some questions for me. This will be my first FFP and I was worried about the reticle thickness and it looks like it will work great. The smallest target I have on my own range on our farm is 9" wide x 11" tall at 1050 yards. Based on what I saw in your video, I should be able to quater it up nicely. I really like the hollow diamonds too. If the reticle does get too thick, I can always dial up 1 mil short and center the target in the diamond.

Mine will be here Tuesday.

Nice video and thank you for the review, SS scopes where a good value back in the day when Tasco built them and have done nothing but improve on quality and features with SWFA running things. This is certainly a viable option and one I may have to look into for my .308 gas gun. Also glad to see the scope rail tripod adapter is working out for you. Check out Bayou Rifles Range down on 288 they are a private club with reasonable annual dues, but would certainly not be as crowded when you do your videos. Keep up the good work.

Take care,

Danel

Dan, just think how exciting the videos would have been if we had taped the service rifle match last week!

How did the after event meeting go?

Dave,

It sure would have been nice to be able to show a certain shooter the impact he was having on his neighbors with that obnoxious muzzle break. I will shoot you an email with the after action report I have far from this years police games. One of the guys shooting Tac pistol had a pair of those video camera glasses during dome of the stages it will be interesting to see how they turned out I may get a pair myself. Also be great for dog training. I am building a set up to run with that spotting scope I had at the match so we can capture some action video. Be cool to see how the rapid fire event unfolded, even though two shooters we know shot on their wrong targets.

Hey Danel,
Long time no talk. Yeah, that base is getting some interesting use from me. When I'm not doing some videoscoping, I attach the base to a carbon fiber monopod and then a riflescope on top. This allows me to have a durable mobile spotting scope and walking stick for hikes.

The two pointed ends means I can use the quick detach of the La Rue to remove my scope and then use the base and monopod as a pointed weapon :)

So are you trying to videoscope through a spotting scope? If so, I have a ton of setups for those already that I can show you.
