Hello, I currently hand-load Hornandy 308 178grn bthp match bullets. I'm going to be switch to Hornandy 308 178 grn Eld. Being the fact the bullets are the same weight and similar do I need to work up a new load development or simply re-zero my rifle? I keep going back and forth with this. So what does the general masses think???

New bullet new recipe. It could be close and is worth checking but I wouldn't say you should expect it to.
Should be a close fit.
i wouldn't hesitate copying the same load for the 178 HPBT. Just verify over chrono
keep everything the same (jump, neck tension, etc)
