Tac Ops Rifles

I'm trying to contact Delta whiskey. I am the Smiley he was trying to find that built the very 2st m40 for Remington please pass on thanks

Who knew there could be 2 Legends in the same thread?! Smiley built the original M40's at Remington in the 60's and his son went on the build SSA M40's when that release was done. I will tag deltawiskey here for you Smiley mountain.

Happy new years everyone.

Three shots 100 yards hornady match ammo, cold bore first shots of the day.

That’s impossible! The cold bore shot is ALWAYS off!!! lol That means a TacOps rifle has a permanently warm cold bore…
Actually with the Tac Ops barrel / receiver pull up with over 500 FOOT POUNDS the Tac Ops cold bore doesn't change my Ninja...
There's a few other factors that come into play but if I shared them you couldn't start your car in the morning 😆 😂

Happy New Year Ninja's

Mike R.

Beautiful package just arrived from the late great golden state ... Tac Ops Kilo 51. Thanks to Mike, a true craftsman and also just a great guy. Can't wait to put this one into action.

Re: new S&B 5-25 - It’s the same scope except a very few things:

A new ocular design makes our best seller even more operable: a redesigned magnification ring is made out of solid aluminum and can accommodate our Throw Lever. In addition, the diopter adjustment can mount our military grade Polarization Filter via a thread as well as Tenebraex caps without needing any bulky adapters. Another new option is the low-profile elevation turret with a large adjustment range which can easily be combined with a red dot sight for close distances
Plus new P5FL Reticle

Maybe you know this stuff. Anyway, there you go.

Oh im sure on paper it’s the same, but i wouldnt be surprised if there are subtle changes (wouldn’t expect it to stay the exact same for 20 years)

Yeah, you got me. I have read multiple posts on SH that the tunneling is still there. Not that I care (I have the prev version).

Thank you for being a complete gentleman throughout the build process you Sir are a Class act...

Thanks Mike! Appreciate all the insight and suggestions during the ordering, the change in model, and finishing touches of the order!

It's called war...I think that much of it is diverted from civilian sales or they aren't making it to free up capacity to produce other calibers
I hope this is the case and it'll come back. Because Berger discontinued all of their 300WM and 300PRC match ammo and it never came back.

Maybe because of the 6mm craze, so now everyone getting into long range are getting 6.5s and 6mms?
The only people shooting 300wm now it seems are hunters, and the PRCs are eating into that market share as well.

I see less and less 300 PRC too though. Bass Pro used to have good amounts of it and that's gone too.

your theory about the 6/6.5 seems kinda valid though. Maybe.

I don't think that is it. I have zero understanding of how manufacturers schedule production but I find it difficult to believe that SA cartridges are built on the same lines that do LA cartridges. I think a lot of capacity is diverted away from civilian sales either for legitimate reasons or more nefarious reasons.

Well back 7 years ago every other person wanting to shoot 1,000 yards got a 300wm or a 338 lapua, now everyone just goes and picks up 6.5 prc, 6.5 cm, etc etc. So it would make sense that there would be a decrease in precision ammo for them. Just a theory though.

Saw their 300prc not all that long ago, though it a onesie case at a lone retailer that I had to SEARCH for. In the end I bought loaded Hornady and Lapua brass.

Edit: Grafs carries it too actually, the cost just sucks.

A year ago I tried to get some HSM 260 and was told I could order but will probably be 24 months.

No change in the wars calming down yet.
See for the 260REM i get it cause JSOC.

The mismanagement on the ASR program is causing issues getting not only 300 Norma but also 300 win mag because of the chain reaction. Very infuriating
