Sidearms & Scatterguns Taurus 605?

I’ve been looking into get my first revolver and I don’t wanna break the bank with s&w or colt. Does anyone have any experience with Taurus revolvers? Specifically the 605? I know Taurus doesn’t have the best reputation for qc and customer service but i feel like when people don’t end up with a dud, they seem to be pretty reliable firearms for the money.

personally i would look for a used Ruger or Smith before i bought a Taurus.

I have three Taurus' and like them all. The "Judge" has killed more cottonmouths than I can count. Also have a .38 special revolver that has had zero problems. Last but not least is a PT111 that I did have to send in due to FTF issues. Came back in about a month and zero problems with it.

I was gonna go with the m85 but the 605 was on sale and was like $20 more. Got the stainless version on layaway

I have several Taurus handguns, as well as S&W, CZ and a Remington.
I honestly don't know how many S&W revolvers I have, at least 4 or 5, a model 24, 64, 686+, 19, 625 and a model 38 that I know for sure.
But I also have a Taurus Model 66 7 shot that I used to shoot in local IDPA matches. I really enjoy that revolver.
I have a 24/7 pro in 9mm that has never had a malfunction, the big 8 shot .357 modded for moon clips that I used to shoot in USPSA and I used to have a really beautiful little 6 shot Taurus blued steel, 4 in in .32 magnum.

I like my stainless 605, had to put some orange paint on frt sight for my liking. Grip soaks up 357 fairly well. Not I gun you pick up and say how beautiful it is, but is a great functional gun.
