The way most government organizations are run it is theft. Obviously there are exceptions to this rule and things I like paying for that I appreciate, but 100% they could operate better under an independent organization.

Its not pretty but WE allowed it. Not all of us but the citizenry one way or another are responsible. I worked my whole life as a timber cutter or stonemason. Never took a penny that wasnt mine and got fucked when I needed workman's comp which I paid a fucking LOT into. Yeah, the SS got raided and fucked...I know that, but I accept MY responsibility for letting that happen, I dont blame others. Ive considered moving, not because I dont like it here, I treasure it here, I feel privileged and honored to have been born and raised here. Id just like to be where its warm all the time. Fucking snow and ice are hard on the old torn up body. But I accept MY responsibility to change it or put up with it. For now I reckon its 'Put Up With', for a bit longer.

If this country was say, the UK, the "you can leave if you dont like it" argument would work. But the fashion of how this country was founded and the structure laid out is how it should still be. The feds changed that, not us. The correct argument would be, "if the people calling the shots in the fed gov dont like how its suppose to be, THEY can leave." They are the ones who morphed the country into what it is from what it once was and was meant to be. Not the citizens.

The money you have paid for SS your whole life, would be double in return over what you collect now. But I dont need the fed to tell me how to save for my future. I know what investments best suit me and my needs. It's called personal accountability. Something this current Gov doesnt believe in.

All US FSA programs started as a helping hand an have turned into handouts to gamer's of the system. Unfortunately, the solvency starts dropping in 2020. As an FYI, current contributions make up about 73 cents of each SS dollar, thus the argument about total insolvency is not currently valid. More of a political red herring.
I find that most find it hard to take handouts and then criticize them.
