TB dominus first shots - happy to finally have it (350 ish days)

Got the can a few weeks ago and finally got out to the range. Today was also the first session and barrel break in for my kids 223 rem (Black Friday, Archimedes, PVA prefit, area 419, trigger tech)

The guy in the bay next to me asked what kind of subsonic I was shooting, “300 blackout?”

He was surprised it was full tilt 3150fps 55grain bullets

Cam sounded good, slight “ring” to it but it beats the hell Out of no can

Also surprised how quickly it cooled. As my kids enjoyed hitting parts of clay pigeons on the berm and shooting the steel plates at 200, I was careful to slow them down and take a brake after a few shots to let everything cool down a little, the can was comfortable to touch in 2-3 minutes even when the barrel was a bit warmer

Thats the beauty of Ti. Heats up fast, but cools down fast too.

One more thing, it would take some work to hurt that can on a 223 bolt gun without a cover on it. I hammer my ultra 7’s pretty hard when squirrel shooting(for a bolt gun). I shoot with covers on, and pull the cover back during pauses in the action.

I've seen multiple reports of the dominus having a "ring" when being used with no cover. I can't speak to it personally since I'm 372 days into waiting for mine and that's not counting the 5ish months I waited to get it from tbac to start with since I had a cert for it.
