The split between those who float this country & those who only take from their backs has grown beyond sustainably. Bullshit. Production was moved abroad to destroy the American middle class and it's stable prosperous family structure. At the same time the deep state flooded our communities with ever increasing amounts of hard drugs to finish the job. Why? IMHO: broke hopeless drug addicts with little family connection are easy to turn into a new self class.

Inflation has destroyed the middle class.
Wages have NOT gone up by any meaningful amount, but the cost of all the stuff you need on a daily basis has nearly doubled in the past 4 years.

Idiots going on about "why aren't people willing to work for next to nothing" when you can't afford to drive to work or pay for your lunch at those wages.

Many folks that are hard working can barely cover the food and energy costs let alone have anything left over. And that's before taxes, insurance, and all the other B.S. that keeps going up.

Many folks that are well prepared have seen their incomes drop and expenses skyrockets and as such are no longer spending any money they don't have to.

Why hasn't the middle class putting small amounts of money into the market instead of buying the latest toys? Boats, cars, too much house, big screen flat tvs, etc...taking on more and more debt to "stay afloat", uh huh.

Im not saying that this is the only reason the middle class has suffered, but this short term got to have the next toy/trinket surely didn't help!

Just small amounts over time in just a basic sp500 based fund has given significant returns...

For the lowest income earners this is likely out of reach, but at least some of the middle class issues are self inflicted.
