So it’s just the cartridge you are using that’s causing the feeding issues with the aw/aics mags?Might have to purchase the extra latch from KRG and sand it down bit by bit.
I'm running this combo but with 6GT. Only mag I could get to run reliably are the Magpul Polymer AICS.
I did try feeding a few dummy 6.5CM cartridges prior to barrel install (action and W3 lightly tightened down) and it seem to feed fine (with original mag latch and AW mag).
Have not tried it with a 6.5CM barrel installed yet.
Nice, so aics mags have fitted and worked/fed great? No mag latch trimming or anything?I’m running this combo and have had great success with aics mags and arc mags. Never tried aw mags

and you got the original mag latch from krg to feed aw mags fine? So I might not need to get the extended latch and trim?
I’m

You in Canada? I deal with Tom at go big tactical tooI haven’t had a single issue. I don’t run aics mainly as I love the arc in this set up. Slightly shorter 10 rd mag what’s not to love. They gave me a bit of issue at first but it wasn’t the chassis/action. It was the follower in the mag. I trimmed the follower and it feeds flawlessly!

I hope not, and what would cause that? I’m running a surgeon in my whiskey 3 now with aics and it works perfect. Would it be the Zeus action that causes that? With AICS pattern mags, there's a chance of the bolt binding on the rear feed lips while shooting off a rock/barrier where the magazine is pushed back/up (rearward). Again YMMV.
I find that the MDT ACC Chassis mitigates this very well. Their magwell is slightly tighter, front to rear. This helps keep the AICS mag from "rocking up" in the rear.
It's not an action issue I'd say, it's a stock/chassis issue, specifically slop in the mag well. It lets the mag pivot a bit too much around the latch point when you push the front of the mag (like when you're leaned up against a barricade without a stop), which tips the rear feed lips a hair too high and the bolt hits them. There's a few fix options:I hope not, and what would cause that? I’m running a surgeon in my whiskey 3 now with aics and it works perfect. Would it be the Zeus action that causes that?
You in Canada? I deal with Tom at go big tactical tooLooks cool, hopefully I do t run into any issues, krg says aw mags can work great in the chassis with the latch trim and terminus says they work with aw mags, I do t want to get the action and have aw mags and aics mags not work properly
Funny, I actually didn’t use any washers and my surgeon has run flawlessly lolOnly thing I can add about KRG chassis is that when I installed my chassis, after tightening the action screws, my bolt was bound up a little. (Did it on 2 different krg whiskey chassis, with 2 different actions).
Then I reached out to a buddy who had em and he enlightened me to the correct washer placement. (Perhaps I'm the only dipstick that didn't know this or read this).
For Rem actions, you have to run 2 washers on the front, and none on the back action screw. After I did that, it was butter... (zermatt actions)
Nice, are you in BC?Yes sir I am. I’ve picked up a few things off Tom
How!

Good to hear. So if the system works flawlessly right now with aics mags and a surgeon action dies that mean that it will work the same with the Zeus? Because they are based on the same clone so I’m sure the bottom of the Zeus is the same dimensions as the surgeon. If you're running AW mags, you shouldn't have any binding issues.
I wouldn't assume that. My TL3 and Origin are both rem 700 clone actions, and of course the Surgeon is a different manufacturer but also a rem700. They require different washer set ups apparently... I would think that mag fitment stuff may vary from action and chassis to action and chassis. Some may require a little fit ment to run smooth and some may be great as soon as you slap em together... never really know but I've also not seen any that require some extensive work to get em to run smooth. That said, I don't know much about those actions as I run the Zermatt stuff. Someone else may can give better info on that.Good to hear. You need to adjust the feed lips for 6.5 creed in the aw mag? I figured it would run fine with that and 260 and only would need adjustment for the other types of Wilde cats life br and gtPretty sure @Covertnoob5 is running/has run this exact setup.
I ran my Vector in a Bravo for a while with AW mags. Zero issues after trimming the latch and adjusting the feed lips. Fed 6CM/308 without issue.
Nope. Every action chassis combo is different. And AW mags are a different beast all together. Only way to know is to actually try it. I did have to adjust feedlips on my AWs for certain chassis but not others even in 6.5 cm. My KMW sentinel never had to touch anything except mag latch height. Ram perfect in 6.5cm. My matrix I did have to adjust feedlips.Good to hear. So if the system works flawlessly right now with aics mags and a surgeon action dies that mean that it will work the same with the Zeus? How do I know what the problem is, if it’s mag catch height or if it’s feedlips?Nope. Every action chassis combo is different. And AW mags are a different beast all together. honestly tho once you get them setup I won’t ever run any mags other than AW. So many more advantages.
I had to adjust the lips for the 6CM to run smoothly. 308 was fine. It is one of those things that you will need to test out. The 6CM would dive on the 2nd to last round each time and jam.You need to adjust the feed lips for 6.5 creed in the aw mag? very interesting, hope I do t run into to much hasten, krg says the whisky 3 runs great with a trimmed latch so I guess it will be all up to the feed lip. And I have no clue how to adjust them and what pasty’s of the lips because I know it’s different for different situations. Shitty thing is it’s like a 6 month to a year wait for aw mags in Canada and if I fuck it up I’m screwed lolUsually feedlips if the rounds slams into the side of the breech face or something similar. If the mag feeds with some resistance or skips a rounds then it’s height.
Honestly you may also get lucky. With my ACC I never had to touch shit on my AWs with my vector. My buddy also tried mine and his AW mags on the LP Fuzion in his ACC and it fed 6.5cm like butter from the get go. No mods or anything.
It may or may not. I can only speak to my experience. I'm not a gunsmith. Similar to above posts, you'll have to give it a try.Good to hear. Just get the MPA feed lip tool and go slow. Either bend them in or out. Maybe just the rears. Maybe the fronts. Maybe the middle. Maybe one side or the other. Really just depends.very interesting, hope I do t run into to much hasten, krg says the whisky 3 runs great with a trimmed latch so I guess it will be all up to the feed lip.
